Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city.

This blog is dedicated to our loving family and friends all around the globe!
Kara doesn't have infectious colitis due to a milk protein alergy, she has a bacterial infection. The good news, she can continue to nurse, the bad news the doc isn't sure what strain of bacteria it is. The GI has put her on a broad spectrum antibiotic and is running some more tests, and seeking out some help from other pathologists across the U.S. Hopefully the antibiotic will work, but I am curious as to what her infection is.
On another note we have enjoyed not only our 2 week visit from my mom, aka mawmaw pam,. but also our 5 day visit with adam's parents, aka nana and papa price. It was nice to see adam's parents, it had been a whole year, and I know the kids have been enjoying all of the attention and presents. In fact, Georgia wakes up and says "good morning mommy, where is maw maw," and Aidan makes sure maw maw is up as soon as he is, and is looking forward to another sleepover in maw maw's room tonight, because she lets him stay up late and watch cartoons. We are going to miss maw maw, especialy me, when she leaves Sunday. Come back soon.
Kara's surgery is postponed, possibly for about a month. She has infectious collitis due to a milk protein alergy. I have stopped nursing and put her on nutramigen. Hopefully this will clear her up quickly so her surgery can proceed soon. Will keep everyone posted.
Because Kara is recovering from an anal fissure, a tiny tear, and is having some blood in her stool, her surgery was postponed. It will probably still be next week on Thursday though, since the pediatrician has given the ok. We have to take her to the GI on Monday to get their approval. So hopefully it will go well and we can still have her surgery next week. I will update you as soon as we know for sure.
Adam and I took Kara to her pre-op appointment Wednesday and it went well, except she really hates when other people come near her and it took about 3 hours, other than that it was fine.
She had an exam, pulse taken, oxygen pulse (it was around 90), blood work and a chest xray (she hates that). The nurses were great, they put a numbing agent on her arms for the lab work, she still hated it though. So next step, surgery, next Tuesday.
Kara's surgery date got changed to March 23rd. The surgeon's favorite assistant won't be here the week of the 16th, the nurse said he is the best of the best, so of course I am not going to argue. Please change the date for your pray plans.
